Countdown to Paris

Bonjour!

In a couple of hours time, Dad will arrive in Norwich. I guess he must be in deep sleep now in the airplane. Hopefully he’ll arrive fit and get over the jet lag soon enough cuz we’ll be going to Paris on Thursday.

Anyway…Im really looking forward to this trip to Paris. Although many have adviced me to visit Euro Disney… I guess I’ll have to pass it on. Aint a real big fan of Mickey Mouse anymore… Yeah yeah… I know its a chance of a lifetime… but I aint gonna let that Disney dude con me with his talking mouse and duck anymore… enough of that joke growing up with it.

So… back to the real deal. Paris. City of lights. Where romance takes place. And women express themselves in va-va-vooms. Coffee brasseries. Arts. Civilized population. World Cup winner. And what else not? I can only put to imagination what awaits me beyond the gates of Charles de Gaul Airport. Would it be like another Rome… where the beautiful city is raped by the strikes of never ending graffiti? I truly dont know. Will just have to wait and see. One thing for sure is that I can get away from anglais pure’e de pommes de terre (english mashed potatoes)… at least for the weekend. :)

Either way…I’m writing up a plan on the places I wanna visit in Paris. Outlined a few and need some careful planning to cover these places. They are:

Was

1. Louvre Museum

2. Eiffel Tower

3. Sacrecour

4. Mus้e National d’Histoire Naturelle (Museum of Natural History)

5. Arc de Triomphe

6. Luxembourg Gardens

7. Montmartre

8. Musée d’Orsay

9. Notre Dame

10. And of course not to miss Champs-Elysee (LV Prada Chanel here I come!)

Waste no more time in this blog… I shall start to plan my days in Paris. I wouldnt wanna dissapoint my old man either way, as much as I wouldnt wanna dissapoint myself. Heheh…

Until then…

Au revoir!

May I suggest a few other places to visit:

    - A cruise along the River Seine (and see the original Statue of Liberty)
    - Tunnel where Princess Diana died (near Champs-Elysee)
    - Paris Catacombs
    - Moulin Rouge & the Erotic Museum (at Montmarte)
    - Artists’ Square (next to Sacre Cour)
    - Latin Quarter
    - Rodin’s Museum
    - Claude Monet’s residence

By the way, do avoid the, er, erotic performances at Montmarte - they’re all con jobs.

And don’t worry, Paris is not “raped by graffiti”. But do look out for doggie poopie - they’re all over the place, man! Enjoy yourself, mon ami!

Haha! Thanks for the heads up dude…will look out for those areas of interest. Dunno if I will have much time to cover that whole lot of places. But… we’ll see how it goes.

Do keep up on this posting in a couple of days time. I think I will come up with a special ed. Paris photo-trip to share with ya’ll.

    Au revoir!

Please use the underground train to get to Pigalle station and hang out there for a night of decadence and naughtiness. It is just at the Moulin Rouge area.
Don’t hang around Gare du Nord at night. You would probably get mugged or beaten up by the niggaz there.
I remember dressing up like a bum and walking around that area. I think I was so badly dressed in my t-shirt. shorts and slippers in the cold with my stuff in a plastic bag that even the thugs there probably took pity on me and didn’t bother fucking me up.
Champs-Elysee is cool cos you will see the rich Arabs getting out in stretch limos with their families to do their shopping. Japanese tourists with their cameras and bags full of LV stuff walking around also. The Egyptian monuments at the end of the road are also cool.
The Louvre is also fun to visit. Probably packed, but if you dont mind lining up to get in, then go ahead.
    Have fun dude.
